How Does it Work?

abit's RMA operation uses a "Pool" system. In order to ensure a fast turn-around time, abit has developed a pool of products from which to draw on. The products that are shipped back to the customers will be replacements of the same models as returned, not the same products that were sent back to us. This helps maintain a constant supply of products available for a continuous and reliable system of returns.

abit will only make repairs or send replacement products back to you. We will NOT accept any request to make trade-ups to any newer models.

The warranty period is mainly defined by the date of manufacturing. If you find a big discrepancy between the time you actually made your purchase, then you will have to ask your dealer to make it up for you.

abit will perform repair service only for qualified abit products which need to satisfy ALL the conditions listed below:

  • Within original manufacture warranty period
  • Product with original serial Number
  • No physical damage or evidence of abuse
  • copy of original invoice from abit or abit-authorized dealers
Upon receiving your defective board, one replacement board will be sent back to you with a new SN. However, the warranty extension on this new replacement board will only be ninety (90) days.

abit will only be responsible for the repair of the abit-branded product itself. If you find other defective non-abit components, you will have to contact each individual vendor to take care of your other repairs.

You are responsible for packing defective products and shipping them to abit in good condition. To make sure it will not be lost on the way to us, it is most preferred for you to ship in an economical way but still provide tracking and insurance. abit will not be responsible for tracking, lost shipments or submitting claims to shipping carriers.

abit reserves the rights to revoke your RMA case and return the defective product back to you If the product is out of warranty or if we found upon receiving that:
  1. The product has any one of below:
    • No RMA number
    • No original serial number
    • No copy of original invoice from abit or abit-authorized dealers
  2. The product is physically damaged or has been repaired by other than abit or abit-authorized service company
  3. The product is from one of our clearance sales through bargain dealers under the terms of AS IS, and WITHOUT Warranty
  4. The return is made as COD to force the shipping charges to abit

To proceed with your request for repair service,

please follow the simple steps as follows:

1. Contact us at:

and then follow the simple and clear instructions to complete your request. Please note to ensure we can handle your request in a systematical and well organized way, all RMA requests must go through this route.

2. Find your original invoice:
abit USA ("abit") offers limited warranty on the hardware (the "Product") against defects in material or workmanship for a period of three (3) year from the original date of manufacturing for all products, purchased in the United States (excluding territories) or Canada from abit or abit-authorized dealers. If your product is within two (2) years from the original date of manufacturing, or one (1) year from the original date of purchase from abit or abit-authorized dealers -- whichever is longer -- for Motherboards; or fifteen (15) months from the original date of manufacturing, or one (1) year from the original date of purchase, whichever is longer for system products and all other products and accessories. If you have the invoice of original purchase with you and your product is still within that period, we will take care of your repair for you at no charge.
3. Back up all data (if applicable) from any parts to be returned. You will receive your parts back without any of your data, and with the factory-default configurations only. Pack the defective product with sufficient protection but without any other accessories that it came with. NOTE: Any accessories sent with your package will NOT be returned. along with

         a. A copy of the original invoices.
         b. A filled out RMA form with your assigned RMA number clearly indicated.

Please note you are responsible for the cost to ship your defective product back to us, while abit will take care of shipping the repaired part back to you via ground service of abit's choice.

4. Once we receive everything in good order, we will start to process your RMA and ship out your repaired product or replacement within 10 working days.

5. The RMA number is valid for 45 days from the day of issue. You may need to apply a new RMA number if necessary.

6. If there is any issue or problem, customer will need to notify abit within 90 days from the day of the RMA number is issued.
